The Award Recognizes Brevel in the category of Most Innovative Plant-Based or Alternative Ingredient

Brevel is proud to announce that they have been awarded the 2022 Fi Global Startup Innovation Challenge. The Fi Global Startup Innovation Challenge is the largest food ingredient exhibition in the world, giving startups the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a jury of R&D experts, investors, and major food and beverage industry company representatives.
The category of Most Innovative Plant-Based or Alternative Ingredient covers innovations related to food and beverage ingredients or additives specifically from a plant-based or alternative non-animal source.
The award was granted due to Brevel’s sustainable microalgae protein which is both color and flavor neutral, and available for the first time at an affordable cost for the food industry. Brevel uses non-GMO microalgae grown in a unique breakthrough technology which enables the highest quality of sustainable protein production at cost levels comparable to pea and soy, the leading sources of plant based protein today.
